French police closed traffic to and from Paris Gare du Nord train station on Friday after an unexploded World War II bomb was found on tracks leading to the terminal, according to AFP and local media.
The bomb was found “in the middle of the tracks” in the area of Saint-Denis, a suburb of Paris, during overnight works on the tracks, local media reported.
The Eurostar and all other trains were halted as police worked to disable the device, reports said. Eurostar’s website shows three trains scheduled to depart on Friday morning were cancelled.
